I am selling my beloved Toyota Verso MMT 7-Seater. It has a fault with clutch and / or clutch actuator, which means it pops out of gear every so often, usually when slowing down on low gears. It never happened on gear 3 or above. It is entirely possible to fix it. I was told by Toyota that the two parts I mentioned need to be replaced and then system updated. I have documentation from Toyota’s diagnostic service to confirm this. I haven’t got time to deal with it but if I did, I would not be selling this car because it is lovely to drive and everything else is great. The engine sounds like new. It is versatile, has plenty of space inside but it is not too big at the same time.
MOT valid until February 2025, full service was done a few months ago. Service history is available. The mileage is low for age – only 92,240 miles.
Petrol, 1.8 L engine.
The transmission is semi-automatic – MMT, which means that the repair is not as straightforward as it would be with a manual, but following Toyota’s recommendations is bound to fix the problem.
Otherwise the car has plenty of life left.
Only other issues, which are minor, are: windscreen washer fluid does not come out on the passenger side, seems to have got blocked up recently, opening the boot requires pressing a precise spot (not a big problem) and it has minor damage to the body as it is always the case with cars that have spent years on the streets of a big city.
It’s ULEZ compliant.
I’m sad to see it go.
