Been a great little car, my wife has had it ten years, since 40k miles. It's a bit tatty now, some marks on the paint, some rust underneath, not going to lie. Been a great little car, my wife has had it ten years, since 40k miles. It’s a bit tatty now, some marks on the paint, some rust underneath, not going to lie. Has never failed on us, just the routine items you’d expect. It’s had brakes, calipers, rear exhaust, catalyst, front left shock, front lower arms, battery, that sort of thing. It’s been serviced every year at MOT time, alternating from minor to major services every two years/6.5k miles. Tyres are all good, wheels are perfect. The engine and automatic gearbox are perfect, it still drives really well and will return 41mpg on a run. A/C works too by the way, as does the sunroof.There are some rust issues, I did the fuel filler neck a few weeks ago and there’s some bad rust under the rear right wheel arch. Not structural as such but doesn’t look good. Plus it needs brake pipes too, they’ve been advised on the MOT for years and I’ve never done them, lol. I haven’t got pics of the other side of the car but it’s exactly the same except for a tiny bit of surface rust on the wheel arch by the rear left door, not rotten.
I’m not spending any money on it, I doubt it will pass the next MOT, and I’ve bought a brand new car on lease, that should make her happy… maybe…I’m selling it as a project or spares/repairs as I know it’s going to require some bodywork/welding to make it MOT worthy. I would suggest it would make a good breaker but they are so reliable maybe not, I don’t know.It cost me £20 to place the ad and I know I can get £200 for it scrap, so the starting price is £220.I know, I’m crazy, but I don’t care what it fetches, I just need it gone. You decide what it’s worth.Located in Shrewsbury, SY4 postcode so fairly central.Cash on collection, no haggling or silly games like that, just bid what you think it’s worth and come and get it.It’s currently SORN as the tax has just run out.
