We are in possession of the V5, its been on our own private plate up to recently and now its back on its original plate
We have used the vehicle for towing various trailers all around the country these are known as some of the best towing vehicles around due to the reliability and super heavy weight. Sadly this is our last land cruiser after having around 6 over the years.
We have carried out many repairs over the years including regular in house servicing, tyres, brakes etc but due to age, mot expired and latest faults its time to move on has arrived.
Up to the tail end of last year it was working fine until we noticed a hydraulic power steering leak. The pipe was replaced which fixed the leak but since then it’s steering has been unusually heavy. We have since replaced the power steering pump and rack but it’s still heavy and we notice the power steering reservoir gets very hot.
We were made aware by our garage that it has some rust underneath that requires attention for next MOT so we are cutting our losses and selling it on. (We’ve now replaced it with a brand new Defender)
In the passed the A/C belt has been removed due to bad pulley and its run without a/c since 2021, the EGR pipe failed a long time ago it was replaced and then eventually blocked off. Now this is showing signs of blowing again.
Common to land cruisers the tailgate lock can be temperamental, some days it plays ball others it doesn’t, worst case I simply get in through the rear seats and open it through grab handle.
It has the usual land cruiser rotting parts there is bad corrosion to the tailgate and the number plate lights now fall out. Corrosion in the usual places around the body at bottom of wheel arches and rear bumper arches where the back bumper is held on by zip ties! a crack to the N/S headlight is present and the fog lights have blown.
Please note it’s got marks all over and the interior is worn and dirty again please study the pictures properly. Bidding confirms you have read the complete listing and are aware of its faults.
However all that to one side these seem to be highly prized for export/import/breaking etc we have first hand experience in the cost of individual parts of these cars it is ridiculous.
I have located a few new spare parts for it in our workshops including lower wishbones and oil filter, if I locate anything more this will all be placed in the boot to go with it.

I reiterate it will require towing away on a truck or trailer. It will start, go into gear and and move but due to no MOT and steering I wouldn’t use on the road plus its SORN.
