Huge boot space with under floor storage as well.
This car is a good example for its age but has a secondary
fault with the electric parking brake.
Please read the complete listing before bidding.
Business edition spec
with rear privacy blacked out windows,
Sat Nav, reversing camera, Bluetooth for phone, cruise control, electric
windows etc. Cloth interior. Load cover. Space saver spare wheel (as new).
Extras
Two sets of roof bars with one set of fixings. We had the
spare set permanently attached to a roof box.
Locking wheel nuts.
The good stuff
The interior is very clean and tidy – just a few signs of wear on the driver’s
seat etc.
New mirror indicator lens, passenger side – Toyota part.
Rear brake callipers replaced – new Fibi Bilstein pattern
parts.
One corroded brake pipe replaced as a precaution – (New copper – nickel pipe end) plus new hose to calliper. (Driver side rear). Other brake
pipes are OK.
Rear underside and the rear sub frame treated with Dintrol
and Hamerite products. See comment below.
Tyres – At least 4mm
of tread all round. Two good keys – both working, one as new.
The other stuff
Usual wear and tear on the body work: A few small scratches
in places, a couple of small dents in the bonnet and a small crack in the rear
bumper – you have to look to see it. (See Pics)
The alloy wheels could do with a referb.
The chrome dress plate is missing from the boot catch but the
catch functions normally (See pic)The mirror adjustment drivers side only works left to right, not up and down. Up and down can still be done manually.
Problem with the Electronic Parking brake.
The parking brake module failed and Toyota could not supply
a new one at the time due to supply chain problems, so it was replaced with a
good used one. (I’m told they now have
them in stock again). Recently that replacement unit has started faulting as
well. The car is drivable and the
parking brake still works as follows: On start-up there is no fault code displayed. When the button is pulled up the parking
brake releases but a message appears on screen ‘release parking brake’. This
then changes to ‘check parking brake’. When you stop, you have to turn the
ignition off and on again, then the parking brake will apply when the button is
pressed down. When the diagnostics
were plugged in the error code was C13A8 “Tension sensor Malfunction”. As a check
on possible causes the rear callipers have been replaced and the cables checked
but the fault has persisted.
This could be a simple fix for someone who knows what they
are doing but worst case it may need a new parking brake module.
Comment
This car was intended to be a long term ‘keeper’, hence all
the extra work. Recent inheritance enables
an upgrade so we are selling this one ‘as is’.
Usual stuff
This detailed listing discloses all known issues so the
car is ‘sold as seen’.
